There is currently a post circulating on Facebook featuring large navigational buoys from the St. Lawrence River that are located at West Parishville Metals.

Today alone, we have received approximately 10 phone calls from interested buyers. We truly appreciate everyone’s interest; however, we want to clarify that we are unable to sell these buoys directly to individuals.

Additionally, due to insurance requirements and contractual obligations with various businesses, we do not resell items from our scrap yard to the general public.

We understand this may be disappointing to some, but we must comply with our contractual and insurance obligations while protecting the integrity of West Parishville Metals.

Tuesday 08/11/2026 — Power has been restored and we are fully open for business!

However, when one problem is solved, another one presents itself.
It appears the infamous “Hannawa Bear” was helping himself at West Parishville Metals this morning. See attached picture.
