I had a custom order for beard oil and of course when I get these orders, itā€™s often just as easy to make a few!

I have three more beard oils available for tomorrowā€™s market. They are all made with nourishing Jojoba, MCT Coconut, Argan and Castor oils with mixed tocopherols (Vitamin E) antioxidant to extend the shelf life.

Scented with a 2% blend of Bergamot FCF, Patchouli, Vetiver, Lavender, and Atlas Cedarwood. The jojoba and MCT oil is also infused with real vanilla beans for an overall aroma that is warm, comforting, and still masculine.

These will be scented in my signature Slumbering Lavender blend, with lavender, vetiver, bergamot, patchouli and yuzu, in a base of fractionated coconut oil, h**p seed oil, and vitamin E antioxidant, plus all the fun ingredients that make it fizz and foam, and a little alfalfa powder which is so good for the skin ā˜ŗļø

Hi Friends!

So, you may have noticed recently some fragrance oils creeping into my products. There is a reason for that.

When I took Aromapsychology with Aromatherapy teacher and psychotherapist Jonathan Benevides (who sadly passed away last year), he discussed the power of scent memory. He explained that scents we associate with certain people, experiences, or places we have been can stir up memories and emotion and can be powerful aids in healing. Not all of these scents are natural.

If your grandfather worked on cars, for example, and he often carried a faint scent of motor oil, this may be a comforting aroma for you. If your best friend always used Aqua Net hairspray, this may remind you of them. Although the chemical constituents of natural aromas have beneficial effects on our mind, body and spirits that artificial fragrances do not, they are not necessarily ā€œevilā€ or without purpose.

The fragrance oils I have selected as additions to some of my perfumes, foaming hand soaps, and scrubs were chosen specifically because they invoke feelings of happiness and contentment in me. Many of them are scents that remind me of childhood, such as cotton candy, which brings me back to fairs attended with my family. There are also some aromas which simply donā€™t exist as an essential oil. Crafting a fragrance oil that captures the essence of a natural scent is a true art form.

I will continue to use natural botanicals for my designated therapeutic products as well as the majority of my non-candle creations, but I hope you enjoy some of the products Iā€™ve made which also include fragrance oils.

My sugar and salt scrubs are restocked!

Citrus Orchard Bloom is scented with a combination of Perfect Pear fragrance oil and distilled Lemon and Pink Grapefruit essential oils.

Verdant Citrus Mint is 100% naturally scented with Bergamot Mint, Persian Lime, Distilled Lime, distilled Lemon, and Spearmint essential oils.

Citrus & Cream is 100% naturally scented with sweet Orange, Bergamot, Lemon, Tangerine, Green Mandarin, Pink Grapefruit, and Clementine essential oils, and Vanilla CO2 extract.

White Tea, Citrus & Ginger is scented with White Tea & Ginger essential oil/fragrance oil blend, and expressed Lemon and Sweet Orange essential oils.

All of these are in a base of fractionated coconut oil which remains liquid at room temperature and will not stain your clothing or clog your pipes, along with Castile soap, Himalayan salt, sugar, vegetable glycerin, and a gentle preservative so that you donā€™t need to worry about ā€œcrittersā€ growing in your scrub if you accidentally get some water in it.

So, I totally forgot to bring my new wickless candles to Farmerā€™s Market this weekend! Buuuuutttā€¦ I made a new batch, pairing spicy, festive Holiday Splendor with Buttercream Vanilla. šŸ˜‹

This batch has Prehnite gemstone accent with green Peridot, red Rabbit Hair Quartz, and red Aventurine chips.

It has a Heart and Root/Sacral feel, with a little Solar Plexus influence from the confidence and abundance symbolism. The green stones provide healing, renewal, and heart energy, while the red stones bring fire, grounding, passion, and action.

Prehnite is known as the stone to ā€œheal the healerā€ and is a perfect gemstone for the teachers, counselors, nurses, massage therapists, and energy healers in your life!

Peridot is known as a stone of abundance and renewal, helping us transform old patterns into possibilities.

Rabbit Hair Quartz brings grounding, motivation, and the amplification effect that all quartz crystals have.

Red Aventurine is associated with courage and forward movement, confidence, creativity and motivation.

I recreated my 2024 Simply Lavender Aromatherapy spray for a customer today. This was my original blend for lavender lovers, including high altitude Lavender, Lavendin, Lavender CO2, Lavender Absolute, and Seville Lavender. I will sometimes add Maillette Lavender to my blends as well, but I am currently all out.

The combination of these species and different types of distillation creates a complex, herbaceous-floral scent that is more true to lavender buds then standard Lavender essential oil on its own.

I also included a beautiful Lavender Hydrosol, the aromatic waters that remain when lavender buds are distilled into essential oil.

Oddly enough, Iā€™ve had several requests for lavender-only products lately, so Iā€™m also making this spray in the perfume bottle size. Although it has all the aromatherapy benefits of natural lavender essential oil, the aroma is interesting enough to make a nice eau de toilette. It can also be used on fabric or sprayed in the air to invite a sense of peacefulness and calm (I often do this with my natural perfumes).

Did you know we can do refills of some products? Bring in your empty foaming hand soap container and we can refill it with the same blend or one of your choice at a discounted price.

Foaming hand soap containers cost about $2 each and can be refilled several times before the pump wears out.

Save some money and bring me your used containers for refill! Even if they were not originally purchased from me.
