Happy Valentine’s Day from us at Amadeus Strings!
While there are many romantic classical pieces to listen to today to set the mood, here’s one of our favorites.
Originating from a French poem, “Plaisir d’amour,” or “The Pleasure of Love,” was composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini. Hector Berlioz arranged it for orchestra in 1859, and throughout the years it’s been arranged and performed in many different musical settings. While listening, you may recognize the melody from Elvis Presley’s 1961 adaption, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
