Just in time for Memorial Day: meet .fro - founded by two Danish-American sisters who inherited equal parts Scandinavian baking skills and a deep suspicion of fluffy American bread and weird fillers. They missed the hearty rye breads of their upbringing so much they started baking their own in Brooklyn (slightly less expensive than monthly trips to Copenhagen).

Their dense, nutrient filled, nutty Danish rye is packed with seeds and grains and made for smørrebrød - Denmark’s iconic open-faced sandwiches layered with smoked fish, cheeses, eggs, herbs, pickles, and whatever looks beautiful on top. Perfect for picnics and entertaining.

Toast it, pile it high, serve it with butter and jam, or alongside tinned fish and summer salads. Rustic, deeply satisfying, and very hygge. Long shelf life and freezes well!
