Glenn,
I recently used several of your flies (e.g., the bunny gotchas) on an epic bonefishing trip to an Australia territory in the Indian Ocean. I caught several PBs there using your flies, including one bonefish that was pushing 10 lbs. I have attached a picture of this fish. Just wanted to say thanks! your flies were very effective and they held up, I caught 20 bonefish on one of them.

Snook!! Kinky Muddlers tied on Gamakatsu SL12s 2/0 and 1/0 hooks. One of the most popular patterns I tie.

These are the hot flies for Ascension Bay Baby Tarpon and Snook this year! Kinky Muddlers work like clousers as mu go to baitfish pattern. This brilliant Johnny King design with the SF Blend 3D head and tented saddle hackle tails perfectly mimics the baitfish tail swimming action. No predator fish can resist!

The Black and Purple was absolutely deadly for the Tarpon and the Chartreuse and White color combo should work well on Snook. The trip organizer used a chartreuse and white EP with great success on the snook but my strong sense is the Kinky Minnow version will outfish the EP any day of the week!

Yellow eye Petersons Spawning Shrimp. By far my favorite, as well as a few others that I have tied this fly for, for chasing bonefish in Ascension Bay, Mexico! Lands lightly and the bones just pounce on it! Love tying this fly! BTW, yellow eyes are also the ticket in Cuba.

Snook Kinky’s! Kinky Muddlers I tied up for a group going to Ascension Bay next month. There are big Snook to be caught there in November. These are tied on Gamakatsu SL12 Short 2/0 and approximately 4” long. The Kinky head makes the tail feathers flutter on the retrieve. Action that Snook cannot resist!

The annual beach Fly Fishing Season is off to a hot start! The Silver Salmon have been feeding on small 2” herring so to the tying bench I go. Tied up a small Kinky Muddler and used it today. Four silvers caught and released, 2 long distance release (never got a good hook set) and a couple of small sea run cutthroat all in a little over two hours.

I always find it extremely satisfying to tie up something that matches the bait and have it work so well!
