Wow, what a storm that was that rolled through last night! Mother nature was definitely having a moment. It was neat to watch. I don't think I have ever seen so much lightening for such a length of time.

On the flip side, our sunflower field took a beating. About a third of the stalks are bent over. Thankfully, we planted way more than we needed so we should still be in alright shape to keep the sunnies coming through the end of the season. 💛

I picked through the bent stalks and salvaged what I could this morning. We will have mixed bouquets and sunflower bunches stocked at both Whispering Oats Farm Stand and The Cheese Shop for the holiday weekend. 🏵️🌻🏵️

Toss it on the grill, boil it in water on the stove, or simply microwave it.

We are back at it after spending a relaxing and fun filled week with family, soaking up the sun, sand and ocean in OBX. 🌊💙⛱️

We are so, SO grateful for the help from our friends and neighbors that kept the stand open, stocked and running smoothly while we were away. 🧡 Thank you, A, J & N!!! Thank you M for handling flowers at the wagon!

We came home to flowers galore! The sunflower field is bursting with blooms and buzzing bees and the garden is chock full of cosmos and zinnias.

I spent this morning cutting as much as I could and will work on getting bouquets stocked at both locations as time allows in between whipping up sweet treats. We'll keep you posted as flowers and sweets are stocked through the week.
