Parchment & Potions

I just want to take a moment to thank Jordan from the Prattaugan Museum for stopping by yesterday to give us this delicious cake and for welcoming us to the area! 🥰 Thank y'all for being so kind!!

I have an annoucement! We're hosting a midnight release party for A Court of Splintered Harmony! 🎉✨️

There will be trivia, games, and prizes! You will also have the opportunity for a private shopping experience while you're here.

There are only 15 spots available for the midnight release, so stop by Parchment & Potions to reserve your place and your copy!

Wow, it's been a week since opening day! You guys really showed up for us, and we're so thankful!! 🥰 It really brings us joy to know that there's so many readers in Prattville and the surrounding area. We really can't thank y'all enough for making our dreams come true.

If you've been to the bookstore in the past few days, you've probably noticed we've been kind of wiped out 😅 there's still a good selection left, and we placed a big order last week to restock our shelves. Also, our latest order of teas should arrive by the 22nd.

Thank you guys again so much! 🖤

Hey everyone! Today is LitCon day! Come see me and many other indie authors at the Prattville Marriott and Conference Center 😊

If any of you are wondering, the bookstore is still open today. Our hours are 10am-7pm.

Hey everyone! Don't forget tomorrow is Prattville's very first LitCon! Come out and support local and indie authors, bookish vendors, and more!

I will be there as Susan Samadi! I look forward to seeing everybody there ☺️🖤

This is so awesome!! Congrats on your team Kim's Cakes and Crumbs for winning! And thank you to West Main Coffeehouse and Creamery for supporting us! 🥰

A big shout out to the wonderful staff at West Main Coffeehouse and Creamery for hosting a fun Halloween Trivia Night! My family, Team Foul Play, won first place!!! We got these cute book totes from Parchment & Potions as our prizes. Can’t wait for the next trivia night!

Informative post ✨️

Hey everyone! We realized we never announced the winners of the Uncle Mick's Cajun Market & Cafe gift cards, hot sauce, and ACOTAR acrylic by Chelsea Chira (Sterling Dawn Art & Design)!

So, we had initially taken a video of the drawing, and planned on posting it for you guys to see. As I went back to watch it, I (Susan) realized I showed soo many people's phone numbers in the video, and it was extremely difficult to edit out because my hands were all over the place 😅 the winners have been notified already, and here they are!

Danny Hudson
Christopher Wool(?)
Krista Smith
Laura Pigott
Kimberlee Harris
Aubrey Cox
Channing Womack
Kirsten Kennedy

A separate topic I'd like to address is local/indie authors! Yes, we want indie books in our store! If you are interested, there is an author submission form at the very bottom of our website. It's teeny tiny (sorry) and we plan on fixing that!

If you have already messaged us or spoke to us in person about your book, please still submit a form! It makes it way easier for us to keep up with everyone 😊

Authors - if you don't hear from us right away, we apologize. We're extremely busy between ordering new books after Sunday (thank you so much everyone again for showing up! 🖤), re-ordering sideline items, preparing for Fountain City Lit Con this weekend, figuring out a Halloween party we'd like to have at the store, and a calender for next month so you guys know what events are going on!

Let us know if you have any questions!

I wanted to take a moment to thank Prattville Flower Shop and Kim's Cakes and Crumbs for their beautiful gifts! We appreciate them so much, and thank you for welcoming us to town! 🥰

10/13/2026

If you didn't get the chance to be at our grand opening, stop by today and see us! 🥰

10/12/2026

Oh my gosh, today was crazy you guys!! Thank you to every single one of you who came out and supported us 🖤 I know it was hot, and the fact that you all still showed up and waited in line means SO much!

You made today an awesome day. We couldn't have asked for a better grand opening! You've truly made our dreams come true! We have an amazing community here in Prattville 🥰

Thank you so much to Adrienne's Downtown Bar for coming out and providing amazing drinks!! We loved them! ☺️
