I can't figure out how to do it in this new improved model. Anyone know how to accomplish this gargantuan task in the Newer Better Zuckerverse?

I had three customers in the store together last week: a mother, a grandmother, and a ten-year-old.
The child was adamant he wanted a certain book.
"Oh, you wouldn't be able to read that," said Grandma.
I was there and had to put in, "It's good to have the child read a paragraph out loud to you so you can gauge how difficult the book is for them."
Kids whips open that book and starts reading aloud.
"You wouldn't be able to FINISH it," Grandma says in a rather deprecating tone.
Kid keeps insisting they want THAT book. Didn't want the classic mystery Mom and Grandma were pushing. But that's what they walked out with. At the register, Grandma whispered to me, "it's just such a SAD story..." like that was an excuse to destroy a child's self-confidence in reading and quash their interest.
I was so upset by the time they left and had the hardest time keeping my mouth shut as discouraging and deprecating words were aimed at a kid who wanted to read a particular book.
And if it's sad, and kid gets upset? Work through that. It's not like Charlotte's Web doesn't have sadness in it. If it's hard for them to read, help the child work through it - don't undermine the child's confidence in their ability to read.🤬

No matter what Google and Yelp's Artifical Ignorance may try to tell you.... we're NOT closed, nor are we planning to be.
Please spread the word, because Artificial Intelligence is trying to put us in an early grave!

I do love this feature of the Library Thing.

Today is the birthday of English author Rudyard Kipling, who wrote in many forms, but who is particularly remembered for his children's books. His personal library, as preserved by the UK's National Trust at his home in Sussex, has been cataloged on LibraryThing as part of our Legacy Libraries project. Have you read any Kipling? Well, went to get pennies from the credit union and was DENIED. They're also not ACCEPTING pennies (!!!) So if you'd like to bring your rolled pennies, I'd be willing to buy them. I'd like to avoid the hosing process of rounding up and down until it's completely unavoidable.
Thanks ever so much to the powers that be for this. No totals will ever be accurate again. 😘 Ain't that precious.
