Itemized list of D10 1911 quality improvements.
#1 all internal were examined and deburred using hand stones ranging from 320 to 8000 grit.
#2 feed ramp and hood were polished using 400 grit kraytex drums.
#3 new low sweep safety from gunsight, was fit and installed using fine mill bastard hand files.
#4 new full length guide rod from EGW was turned to length, via lathe, and fit to gun.
#5 front sight was filed, fit, and replaced with Kensight orange big dot tritium.
#6 rear sight was filed fit and replaced with fiber optic green from LPA sights. (After hours of scouring the internet for information, we learned that there is a Italian and a American LPA cut.)
#7 milled and fit a LPA red dot sight plate from EGW
#8 replaced bushing for slim grip panels to be installed from VZ grips.
#9 hand filed with several different files, a carry radius on the heel of the mainspring.
#10 (my favorite part) checked functionality and accuracy at 25 yard. After sight in, and sight adjustment, I achieved a 3 round group of 2", and a 8 round group of 4". accuracy is better than adequate( more practice required š¤£) gun cycled flawlessly for 50 rounds of federal American eagle 185 grain ball ammo.
