People often ask me how I became interested in antiques/collecting - well, it’s in my DNA. My dad didn’t have much of anything growing up on a farm in Ohio. His career as a cement mason (as well as a stint as a lay preacher in his early years) he enjoyed collecting, restoring and selling his finds. He also knew how to take quick naps whenever and wherever he could… (ya, I caught him closin’ his eyes a few times during the sermon).
It’s been just over 2 years since he died and I sure do miss my daddy’s hands (they were always massive, until his later years). If you’ve got a great dad or someone who is a father figure in your life, let him know what they mean to you and give him a big hug.
