One month ago, we opened the doors to Ink & Vinyl Collective with a whole lot of excitement, nerves, and absolutely no idea what the hell we were doing.

And somehow… here we are.

We’ve met so many amazing people, sold a LOT of books and records, restocked approximately 400 times because apparently people like to shop 😂, and watched this crazy little dream become a real business.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us during this first month. Every purchase, follow, share, recommendation, and “I saw you on tiktok!” means more than you know.

One month down. ❤️ Here’s to whatever comes next.

First of all, i just want to express my deepest gratitude for the love we have received from the community for our little store. The past 3 weeks have been so bittersweet. My dream of having a bookstore along side music in honor of my dad is real..and I often times have to pinch myself because I cant believe we did this. Thank you to everyone, truly.

Secondly, we are Ink & Vinyl Collective, not Trax. We cant move forward and still hold onto the past. A few people miss trax and what it used to be. And I get that, I do. They say our store isnt the same. And its not. Nor did we want it to be. Trax was my dads. He's no longer here, so how would it be the same? He made trax. If we kept his store, his name, his clutter that made it trax, it still wouldn't be the same because it wouldn't be him behind the counter. We are moving forward, in a new direction. We kept the music for the people who loved his store, to honor him. To be honest, im no music buff, i prefer books. But we wanted to keep a piece of him here for everyone who did love him and his store.

As we move forward, we hope youll see how much we love what we are doing. All the people we have met have been so amazing. All the stories we have heard about my dad, his store, have been lovely. All the people who dont want to come in because they dont like change, we hope youll give us a chance. New memories, new stories, new friends.

This isnt Trax anymore, its Ink & Vinyl Collective.
And again, thank you to everyone who has shown us so much love the past 3 weeks! Its been a very exciting time for our family. 🫶🖤
