📚🎶 SELLING YOUR BOOKS TO INK & VINYL? HERE’S WHAT TO KNOW!

We’ve had several people ask whether Ink & Vinyl will be buying used books and records, so we wanted to share a little more about how our buying process will work.

📚 USED BOOKS

Yes! We’ll be buying used fiction, and we’d love to see what’s been sitting on your shelves waiting for its next reader.

Our curated collection will focus heavily on romance, dark romance, fantasy, romantasy & classics because those are the books we love to read, recommend, and fill our shelves with.

Our used fiction section, however, is where you’ll find a little bit of everything!

When bringing books in to sell, please keep in mind that we’ll be selective about what we purchase based on condition, current inventory, customer interest, and available shelf space.

At this time, we’re looking for fiction only and will not be purchasing cookbooks, autobiographies, biographies, textbooks, reference books, or similar nonfiction titles.

🎶 USED RECORDS

We absolutely plan to purchase used vinyl in the future!

However, we will NOT be buying records during our opening week. We’re incredibly fortunate to already have a large used-vinyl collection in the store, and we want to give a little time to settle into our new systems and just enjoy Grand Opening week with all of you! ❤️

We’ll announce right here when we’re ready to begin purchasing records, so hang onto those collections for us. 👀

One last thing that’s important to us:

Ink & Vinyl isn’t trying to be every bookstore. We’re trying to be our bookstore.

We’re intentionally building a space around the books and music we genuinely love; something we can be excited to talk about, recommend, and share with our community.

It may not have everything for everyone, and that’s okay.

We hope the people who love what we’re creating will walk through the doors and feel like they’ve found their kind of place. 🖤📚🎶

✨ THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER...WE’RE HAVING A GRAND OPENING! ✨

On September 5, we’ll officially open the doors to Ink & Vinyl Collective, and we would love for you to come celebrate this new chapter with us. 📚🎶

For so many years, Trax has been more than a record store. It has been a place for music, memories, conversation, and community; which is something we have every intention of carrying forward.

As Daryl’s family, it means so much to us to have the opportunity to continue something he loved and built. Vinyl isn’t going anywhere. ❤️

We’re proud to continue Daryl’s vinyl legacy and the spirit of Trax while adding a little twist of our own: books.

Ink & Vinyl Collective brings those two worlds together. A place to flip through records, wander through shelves of new and used books, discover something you didn’t know you were looking for, and hopefully stay awhile.

This may be a new name and a new chapter, but the history behind these doors matters to us. Trax and Daryl will always be part of the story of Ink & Vinyl Collective.

We can’t think of a better way to begin than by opening the doors and celebrating with the community that has supported this store for so many years.

Ink & Vinyl Collective will be a place where music and stories come together.
Vinyl records will continue to be a huge part of our store. We're excited to keep that tradition alive while adding a carefully curated selection of new and used books.

Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can browse records, discover your next favorite book, and enjoy the same sense of community that has made this location so special over the years.

To everyone who has supported Trax—thank you. We're honored to continue its legacy while beginning a new chapter.

🎵 A Friendly Reminder 🎵

Tomorrow, we gather to celebrate the life of our dad and give his friends, family, and everyone whose life he touched a chance to say goodbye.

Dad's life was filled with music, and there isn't a better way to honor him than by celebrating one of the things he loved most.

If you have one, we'd love for everyone to wear your favorite band or artist T-shirt in his memory. Whether it's classic rock, country, punk, metal, or anything in between, wear the music that means something to you.

We look forward to sharing stories, memories, laughter, and celebrating a life that left such a lasting mark on so many.

On behalf of our father, we want to say thank you for the love and support over the past 9 years at Trax Records! For now, we are closing the doors, but we hope to see everyone in the future! We want to keep his memory alive, and it seems that most everyone we met this past week, feels the same. Thank you for all the stories and love everyone poured out to our family this past week, it meant a lot. 🤟❤️ keep an eye on our page for updates on the future of the store. And again, thank you!
