The term “pink amethyst” is a trade name for for this stunning, ultra special variety of amethyst(from Brazil) that actually grows in a gorgeous, glitzy pink chalcedony host mineral. Unlike common amethyst that is found in boring ol’ grey matrix that is typically shaved off as much as possible. So, it’s the juicy pink chalcedony that the term “pink amethyst” is referring to, and is often paired with the classic purple amethyst, clear quartz, golden healer, and sometimes even ACTUAL pink amethyst.(A very rare variety that we do have featured here as well!)
