I’ve known .aviation for about a decade now, they’re part of an amazing family. Every so often they let me play safety officer for aerial platform shooting events. This year at the annual Helicopter Shoot, they surprised me with a custom uniform. I’m still blown away and blessed to know this crew.
Thanks again brothers, for the memories and ones we haven’t made yet! 🚁 🇺🇸

When a family shows up at FOB Banner in Avery County, NC, they are treated like our own. Providing a positive experience, even for a short time, can make a huge impact on their lives.
After this little one loaded up on art supplies, I asked her if she wanted a flashlight that didn’t need batteries; all she has to do is leave it in the sun light for a few hours a day. She was super excited not to have to sleep in the dark any more.

There are some unsung heroes helping out in - for a few days, cooked and delivered thousands of free and delicious meals to volunteers and anyone in the area. They fed the team some killer BBQ and had a huge impact on morale. When we say this was a massive American effort, most have no idea. God Bless everyone who showed up and continue to show up.

This cannot be understated, for under $1,000 you can power a with a small generator and have more bandwidth than cable internet. Stsrlink has revolutionized disaster response and recovery. Everyone in who lives in higher threat areas should cut the cord and switch.

One of the puppies that we at rescued up here in North Carolina needs our help. One of our vets made the assessment that Banner had a broken arm and dislocated shoulder. Alex, her new daddy immediately left that night to get her to a care facility. The X-rays showed, broken arm, broken shoulder and dislocated shoulder. Little banner has been in a lot of pain. They believe the injuries are similar to crush injuries from being buried, which makes sense with all the flash floods and mud slides.
Little Banner had surgery yesterday and unfortunately had to have a full amputation along with a couple ribs.
These surgeries are intensive for animals and most shelters would have been forced to put her down… but thats not how we roll. She will have a long and happy life here in North Carolina with the family of a Retired Command Sergeant Major. Please help us get these medical costs covered for Banner and the volunteer who adapted her prior to diagnosis and front-loaded the costs of the surgery.

“Momma” was adopted last night. I think she knew and the pups knew all of our hearts because they were ready. They walked her out on the flight line and she gave me one last hug. She said thank you for saving me and I said thank you for raising morale at FOB Banner.

What an amazing and exhausting day. The people working out of FOB Banner are truly the best humans ever to converge in one location. As every day passes the size and scope of our operation has continued to grow and reach more and more of this community. The people of North Carolina are the most resilient folks I’ve ever come across, they haven’t lost their faith in God nor their fellow man.
Our mission has been to enable them to help themselves and their neighbors.
Regardless of the nonexistent government response, Americans are loving on Americans, and together we will get through this. We need to get back to this on a nation-wide scale. This is the embodiment of “love thy neighbor as thyself” and it’s the only recipe to heal our entire nation.

🚨Puppy Update 🚨 we got mom and 6 pups. They are spending their first night indoors and safe.
One puppy has a broken arm which we will get fixed regardless but also going to launch a gofundme to help offset the up-to $10,000 surgery.
We are doing our best to be stewards of God’s creation.

Oh hey, there’s me with - he cares about . As a Michigander I don’t know all the politics of this place but I agree with Mark when he said to me “now is not the time for politics, now is the time for action”. We appreciate him taking the time to observe our specific recovery operation.
