🎨 Artist Spotlight: Raphael Gribetz at Morning Star Art & Framing
We are incredibly thrilled to announce a very special featured exhibition happening right here in downtown Presque Isle for the First Friday Art Walk on August 7th (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM)!
For this upcoming show, we are proud to feature a powerful series of paintings by local fine artist Raphael Gribetz.
About the Artist
Born in 1952 and raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in the Bronx, Raphael made the bold choice to break away from conventional family expectations to dedicate his life to the fine arts. He secretly left his initial studies to pursue his true calling, eventually earning his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the City College of New York.
In 1985, Raphael relocated to Presque Isle, where he has lived a quiet, introspective life for the last four decades. Many in the County know him as a local fixture who travels exclusively by bicycle year-round, an accomplished classical pianist, and a long-time spiritual leader and cantor for the Aroostook Hebrew Community.
Raphael’s deep background in classical texts and his decades of quiet reflection in northern Maine heavily shape his creative pulse. While he has historically worked across multiple mediums, this exclusive local showcase brings his striking paintings straight to the forefront.
Come out to Morning Star Art & Framing on Friday, August 7th, to support a true hometown master and experience this incredible feature in person!
