We want to give sincere thanks to the Highlands Foundation Inc for their generous donation of $30,000 that will go towards the construction and installation of a new commercial kitchen here at the MAC! Their commitment to the health and wellness of our community is extremely valued! The Prestonsburg Fire Department is proud to announce the addition of our new ambulance, EMS 1.

We would like to sincerely thank Mayor Rick Hughes and the Prestonsburg City Council for their continued support and for making this purchase possible.

I would also like to give a special thank you to all of our shifts and personnel who have worked so hard getting EMS 1 ready for service. Your hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated.

EMS 1 will officially be on the road today, ready to respond and help us continue providing quality emergency medical care to the citizens of Prestonsburg.

Thank you to our city leaders, our personnel, and our community for your continued support of the Prestonsburg Fire Department.

We will be extending our deadline to September 8, 2026. If you have not gotten a photo to us, please try to have that to us by September 9th, no later than the 10th. Judges will judge the photos as soon as they arrive, so we want to make sure we have all photos out for their viewing.
