Kick off your summer reading 📚 🌞

Join us Tuesday 6/2 at 6pm to discuss "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. This month's discussion is appropriate for readers 12 and older.

Don't be like me and let the cover with the old man who vaguely resembles a tree scare you away from this treasure of a book!

Our Banned Book Club is free to join and no purchase is required.

If you've followed us for a while, you know we don't shy away from hard topics. That's why we have a whole section of the shop dedicated to loss and grief.

Next month, we're hosting a book club to discuss books about death-- and eat dessert while we do it. And yes, it's named "Cake and Death" after the Eddie Izzard's comedy sketch. (Link in comments.)

So 6/13 from 5-7pm we will discuss the book "I See You've Called in Dead" and discuss our own mortality.

Saturday at 9am our friends at Midwest Partners are hosting a Walk and Write event there. This is part of the Big Read community program. We hope to see you there!

There will be UTVs available for folks like me with mobility issues. Bring your bug spray -- we collected 4 ticks when we were there! 🪲🪲🪲🪲
