Tag yourself! I forgot to get all of your handles;) 😂😂😂

Today, Erika Margarita Mitchell and I took the stage in Guatemala City to present to exporters, growers, and buyers our unique perspective of the industry, not only as influencers keeping up with plant trends but as retailers who talk with customers every day and get to learn what people want.

Thank you AGEXPORT for having us out for such a wonderful event! We have made many new friends in our short time here- it already feels like a second home.

A special thanks to Brigit for organizing such a wonderful conference. It’s been a first class experience since we boarded the plane in Dallas! I will always remember my first time out of the country. Beautiful Guatemala! 🇬🇹

Plant Pal Society Update:

We had nearly 800 people sign up to be part of our pen pal group for plant people! We have been blown away by the response, but with big numbers come big issues. Nearly 25% of the 800 people didn’t enter their mailing address correctly, causing their matched pen pal to have nowhere to send their letters.
Yesterday I worked on reaching out to the 200 people who didn’t enter the mailing address correctly to update me with the information and have been passing that information along to their plant pal as the responses come through.
About 150 of those missing addresses responded yesterday, leaving 43 people that have not yet responded. This means 43 people who entered their information correctly have not yet received their plant pal pairing.

If the remaining 43 people do not update me with their mailing address soon I will take them off the list for this month and pair the remaining people together and send an email with their pairing.

If you have not received an email yet please check your spam or junk folder first. If the email with your pairing isn’t there then it’s likely you’re one of the 43.

Mrs. TTP and I sent out our letters today and it felt so good! Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding while we sort this out.

Yesterday’s Tanner The Planter Goes International live sale was an absolute BLAST. 🌎🌿✈️

We spent hours live with you, and almost our entire team got a turn in front of the camera presenting plants. Everyone showed up dressed like tourists, ready to have fun, and completely committed to the theme. 😂 Donuts together in the morning to lunch as a team and hours of plants, laughter, and live selling, it was exactly the kind of day we hoped it would be.

More than anything, it was really special to have one last big day together as a team before we leave Monday for our very first international business trip.🇬🇹

The last time Erika landed in Guatemala City, she was 16 years old. She was a high school student going to live with her grandparents to learn more about her culture and to escape a pretty traumatic divorce situation. She had no idea she was about to experience a place that would become such an important part of her story.

Thirty-three years later, she’s returning to Guatemala City but this time alongside TTP, as a professional speaker and an expert in the houseplant industry, invited to take the stage as a keynote speaker. 🌿🇬🇹. Life is pretty incredible sometimes.

To our team: THANK YOU. Watching each of you jump in yesterday, present plants, make people laugh, embrace the ridiculous tourist outfits, and genuinely get excited about what we do made us so proud. We wish every single one of you could pack your bags and come along with us!

And to our plant people: thank you for showing up. Thank you for shopping, laughing with us, cheering on our team, and sending so many messages of encouragement and well wishes as we get ready for this adventure. Your support is what allows opportunities like this to happen in the first place, and we never forget that.

We’re leaving Monday with very full hearts. ❤️
