We now have plumcots and apriums from Family Tree Farms! These are super versatile fruits — great in a salad, galette, yogurt bowl, grilled, or just by themselves!

Plumcots (green) are 50% plum and 50% apricot. They taste slightly tangy, slightly sweet and balanced.

Apriums (red) are about 75% apricot and 25% plum. They are denser in texture, fuzzier and have a flavor that is sweet like an apricot with a hint of plum.

Anyone else hot? Yes? Well it’s a perfect day for an ice cream sundae! With all these toppings and all these ice cream flavors there’s probably one million different combinations you could make! Nobody check our math please

The beach lunch is a delicate operation. Too little food? You’re starving by 1 p.m. Too much? You may find yourself standing in line at the snack bar, contemplating whether your level of hunger justifies the financial setback that is purchasing the world’s most mediocre “chicken tenders” and fries.

Sandwiches. An Italian. A jambon beurre. A lettuce-tomato-mayo-mustard situation. Etc.

Chips. Mandatory. If you think you’ve packed enough chips, you haven’t. More is more.

Fruit & veggies. The beach is THE place to eat the juiciest peach of your life, make a huge mess and clean it all up with a quick dip in the surf. Nectarines, apricots, pluots galore. Melons, strawberries, peas and cukes!

Bevs.Hydration is key!!!

Snacks. Jerky, pepperettes, chorizo, dried fruit, peanut butter bars, nuts. Salty and sweet yes yes.
