LIT ISSUE OF !!! Our little heart can’t take it ❤️

It is no small thing to have a state of our size thrive as a creative source for books and the literary arts — we are so endlessly grateful to all the readers who shop small, attend author events, share posts, tell friends and family about every bookish corner and crevice of this state. 🥹 From deliriously silly and provocative reading series to heartfelt book clubs to all our local authors who offer their time for craft conversations so as a community we can hear about your creative practices and in turn inspire our own, thank you. In the words of Ayo Edebiri, “you’re the real ones!!!”

We have free copies available for ya’ll to take home at the store!! Swing by to pick up a copy ☺️

Happy New Year, friends!! 🎈We have abbreviated hours for the first half of January as our small team gets some rest!! The bookstore will be ~open~ Friday & Saturday 11AM -8PM and Sundays 11AM - 6PM. We’ll resume normal hours on January 17th!!

Book club is taking a one month hiatus and will be back in February 📖 When we return, we’ll read Martyr! By .kavehakbar and we’ll meet at 4PM on 2/25 .pvd to discuss! Copies of the book will be available at the store starting January 23rd (it’s pub day!!) ⚡️More information on this soon! xx

OUR ANNUAL BOOK DRIVE IS HERE!!! ✨📖 We’re collecting children and adult books until December 23rd to support two amazing RI nonprofits!

When you bring books to donate, you’ll receive 10% off any purchase at the time of drop off. ☺️

Children books will be donated to Books Are Wings , a local nonprofit that puts free books in the hands of children across the state!

Adult books will be donated to the Providence chapter of Books Through Bars , an organization that mails books to incarcerated folks in RI and beyond. Please swipe to see the list of preferred reading materials needed by BTB!

Over the past three years, y’all have donated over 1,500+ books through the annual book drive! ✨ Let’s make a new record this year y’all!! See you in the shop ❤️☺️

DECEMBER BOOK CLUB!! ❄️ We’re reading a Study For Obedience by Sara Bernstein !!! Come grab your copy!

We’re back again in the world of unreliable narrators (idk if we’ll ever leave!! 😉) Expect small town suspicion, collective bovine hysteria, a dog’s phantom pregnancy, and an uncanny sibling relationship as our narrator navigates a new space after an unexpected move. As the book unfolds, the menace of the town grows, offering a bracing story on xenophobia and exploring themes of complicity and power.

WE’LL DISCUSS on Saturday, December 30th at 4PM .pvd !! ⚡️Due to the holidays, we shifted book club from its usual Sunday time slot. We hope y’all can make it!
