Gerald Wolfe — Untitled, 1981

Original 1981 abstract oil stick work on thick wove cotton paper to the Alloy Art & Objects collection. 17" × 16", signed and dated by Gerald Wolfe.

Wolfe emerged onto the New York art scene in the late 1970s, exhibiting at OK Harris Gallery with a 1979 summer invitational. His work has since been shown at galleries including Denise Bibro Fine Art, Ericson Gallery, and Kim Foster Gallery, as well as in solo exhibitions at the Paterson Museum and New Jersey State Museum.

This piece comes with an original 1981 Ericson Gallery NYC label and was previously part of the INA Museum of Art inventory.

A terrific example of early New York abstract expression!
