I own and operate Bill Harris Music, one of the oldest music stores in Utah and a third-generation family business. Since 1917, Bill Harris Music has been Provo’s main source for music, instruments, and support, serving generations of musicians and families. This business means everything to me, and I’m proud to carry on its legacy.
I was involved in a car wreck back in March 2025 and have been dealing with health problems ever since. Recently, things have just gotten worse. At the start of this month, I underwent back surgery, and now I’ve learned I’ll need a hip scope and further medical care after being hospitalized for the past two weeks. With the time I’ve already missed and the extended recovery ahead, I’ll be away from Bill Harris Music for at least several weeks, possibly longer. This makes it impossible to keep operations running as usual, and I’ve had to make the difficult decision to temporarily pause the business while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet.
I know how frustrating this is for our community, and I want to reassure everyone that this is not a closure or shutdown. Bill Harris Music will reopen as soon as my health allows, and I am committed to continuing our legacy in Provo. We are only here because of the continued support and community we’ve built together over the past 100+ years. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses, lost income, and keep the business afloat during my recovery. Any support, whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply sending well wishes, truly means more than I can put into words. Thank you for helping Bill Harris Music and me during this challenging time. https://gofund.me/3ce656389
