Papa Trauma

Papa Trauma Custom made pens, oil vials, toothpick holders, and basically anything else you can turn on a lathe. My name is Kerry Ashby and I'm a quadriplegic.

April 16, 2010, I broke my neck in an ATV accident. For those of you who don't know what being a quadriplegic means, I'm paralyzed from the neck down. Not only has this been a challenge, it has been a blessing in my life as well. I have met so many wonderful people and experienced the service of others in my life everyday. Before my accident, I was a master wood worker. While I was in the hospital

, I was told that I would never get in my shop again. I started turning pens as a form of therapy. It helps me keep my balance and works out my arms. I loved it so much that I've decided to turn it into a business. I turn pens, oil vials, toothpick holders, and just about anything else you can turn on a lathe. I use materials such as wood, leather, antler, acrylic, bone and more cool things. If you have any questions about my journey or just want to know more about what I do, feel free to ask.
