Why have I not been open yet!? Short answer. Life.

I got an AC Unit June 24th. It still is not working. The Electrician accidentally ordered the wrong transformer for the unit. So as soon as he went to turn it on the blower motor blew out and fried. So having to contact the manufacturer of the motor in South Korea to get a replacement. The building since June averages 88 to 92 degrees on the main floor with no one in it. To hot to be open this summer. It was to hot to be open last summer too.

Rest assured though, fellow nerds, that I am working on making things inside Nerd Emporium new. Refreshed. Different. New things and new rooms added. Old things revamped.

Being closed off and on the last 2 years has been torturous to say the least. The light at the end of the tunnel is starting to shine through though.

I am not going anywhere.
The Nerd Emporium isn't going anywhere.

I will fight tooth and nail to make this successful again.

Hey everyone! Quick update and question for all you Nerds in Pueblo, Colorado (and surrounding areas).

First the update.

I am working on being reopen sometime in July. It has been a long road back to being able to even think about reopening. I am excited that, in a few weeks time, I very well could be. Days open would be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I plan on doing monthly Nerdy Markets as well. One of the biggest hurdles to jump has been no air conditioning, in the summer, for the last 2 and a half years. Well, I think I got that part figured out. I have a 7.5 ton portable ac on wheels coming here by Thursday or Friday this week. However, I need a 460V 3 Phase Power Supply, a plug on the end of the cord of new ac unit, and a wall plug installed.

Which leads into the question part of all this. Is there anyone who is an electrician, or knows someone who does good work, and is fair with what they charge?

It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.

To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.

He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.

While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and for the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him. The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly thankful for it. To him, you were not just fans, you were his friends.

We know many of you had heard about his recent hospitalization, and we are truly grateful for the prayers and support you sent his way.

As we grieve this loss, we kindly ask for privacy for our family during this time.

Movie Synopsis:
Revenge of the Nerds (1984) is a comedy film about two nerdy freshmen, Gilbert and Lewis, who are forced to live in the gym after their dorm is taken over by the jock fraternity, the Alpha Betas, leading them to form their own fraternity, the Lambda Lambda Lambda, and plot revenge against their tormentors. Directed by Jeff Kanew, the movie follows the classic underdog story of geeks getting back at the popular jocks, becoming a cult classic that explored nerd culture before it was mainstream.

It spawned several sequels, including Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992), and Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love (1994).
