🎉 MEET THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE LASER LINES & STITCHES FAMILY! 🎉

Everyone, meet Heffalump — but around here, he’ll simply be known as Lumpy! 🐘💙

Lumpy is our new Bambu Lab H2S, and he’s joining Christopher Robin, Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Kanga and Roo in our ever-growing 3D printing department.

And before anybody gets worried… NO ONE GOT RETIRED! 😂 Our trusty P1S machines still have plenty of work ahead of them. Lumpy is here to expand what the whole crew can do.

So what does the big guy bring to the shop?

🖨️ A much larger build area — giving us room for bigger prints and more parts on a single plate.

📏 Taller and larger projects that would need to be split into multiple pieces on our P1S machines can now potentially be printed as one.

🎨 Multi-material and multi-color capability with our dual AMS 2 Pro setup, opening up even more possibilities for complex designs.

🔥 More capability with demanding materials thanks to Lumpy’s higher-performance printing platform.

⚡ Fast, precise printing for everything from detailed decorative pieces to larger functional projects.

📦 Better production flexibility — while Lumpy tackles the big jobs, the rest of the crew can keep cranking out the products you already know and love.

Basically, we didn’t replace anybody.

We just brought in a bigger elephant. 🐘😂

Lumpy is assembled, settling into his new home, and getting ready to earn his keep.

As you know, Laser Lines & Stitches supports the work carried out by Love is a Hug. We donate the engraved leather tags that are attached to every shawl that is handed out.

If you would like to help this great cause, the team at Love is a Hug is offering classes on how to crochet them. Check out their flyer and contribute some time to their cause.

Today was a busy one! We finished some shirts for a new commercial customer, worked on some custom embroidery and got started on a custom commercial hat order. Last but not least, I worked on a memorial coin. I was torn between what method to use so I went both directions: mopa laser embossed AND UV relief printed. Both on 30mm brass coins.
I’d love to show you how the backs turned out but since this is a memorial piece, we want to respect the family’s privacy.
I’ve included a video of Megatron burning through the brass and pics of finished results.

I know what my preference is. What’s yours?

Both of the boys are busy today. Our partners over at Love is a Hug told us they’re running low on leather tags. We can’t have that, so today we’re cutting about 200 more for them at no cost. It’s how Laser Lines & Stitches supports their efforts.

Love is a Hug is a great organization that makes and donates prayer shawls to those going through rough times.
