Well, we are back, unpacked, and finally catching our breath! This year’s National Sports Card Convention was pure madness. We’ve been doing this show for many years, but 2026 was on another level.
From driving in through a literal tornado on Monday to blowing out a trailer tire on the drive home Tuesday, it was definitely an eventful trip. 🚗💨💥
Despite the travel chaos, it was an awesome week! A few takeaways & recaps from the floor:
📸 The Pickups: Check out photos of some of our favorite pickups from the show—mostly walk-ups to our table! We landed a ton of 90s and 2000s inserts (our absolute favorite).
PSA was a disaster this year—we had several cards we wanted to grade, but with one day turnaround times so long, it didn’t make sense. That said, our favorite pickup was a 2026 travel size Gold Bond that would’ve gotten a PSA 11 for sure. Population 1! 🔥
👥 Collector Watching & Bargain Hunting: The "Collector Watching" was prime this year. People were comping the $1 and $3 boxes for hours but a few people even paid full sticker price, which threw us for a loop!
💡 A Couple of Friendly Tips for Next Year:
1. How Not to Negotiate: If you find a $25 card in a box and the last comp sold for $45, don't offer $20. Don’t be a moron just buy the card so you also don’t get told to take a hike! 🛑
2. Hygiene Matters: Our booth was right near the Bathrooms, meaning we could see the sinks. Let’s just say only about 50% of card collectors wash their hands. Next year, don't be a dirt merchant! WASH UP, THE CARDS WILL STILL BE THERE also When there's a table outside with free hand sanitizer and a note saying don’t be a pig , USE IT. 🧼🧴
All jokes aside, it was an incredible show. Got to catch up with great friends that we only see once a year, ate way too much good food, and managed to secure our same booth location for the 3rd year in a row!
Can't wait to do it all over again next year. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth! 🙌
