*** AMERICAN MAHJONG ESSENTIALS

This 3-hour Mahjong Essentials program provides a relaxed introduction for beginners who are primarily interested in learning the game for social play. Each participant will receive a couple of key game aids to use during play, and they will learn to:

• Identify the Mahjong tiles
• Read and understand the NMJL card
• Organize their racks
• Build legal hands
• Complete the Charleston
• Understand the basic flow, rules, and etiquette of the game

Bring your 2026 NMJL Card (or purchase one at training for $15, cash or Venmo only). Tiles and tablescapes will be provided.

*** ROYAL SIAMESE MAHJONG OPEN PLAY SOCIAL

This Guided Play session is open to beginners who have completed beginner-level training. This is not a replacement for beginner training.

An instructor will be available to reinforce game rules and etiquette, as well as to coach and answer situational questions during game play.

Grab a sweet treat, settle in for some fun, and meet other Mahjong players. Bring your 2026 NMJL card — we’ll provide the tiles and tablescapes!
