Finished!!! All dry and ready to wear, finally!! I loooove how it turned out. This is the weekend cami by Aimee Sher. I did alter the pattern a bit by elongating the straps and waist. Yarn is 100% cotton Botanika by Cascade.

To block or not to block. Blocking helps your stitches open up and bloom. It helps lace and cable patterns shine. It evens out minor tension issues. And of course gently cleans your project after you’ve hand your hands all over it for so long, removing any oils and dirt that’s accumulated. Then you can pin it out to the appropriate dimensions once all the water in gently squeezed out by rolling it up in a towel, never ring it or twist it. I like using a small amount of nice smelling wool wash. ❤️

Birthday yarn adventures for my dear friend, Nancy! We had the BEST day visiting two beautiful southern CT yarn shops, Knitty Gritty Yarn Girl and Driftwood Yarns for fiber goodies, amazing fresh pasta for lunch at ’s Pasta Sho in Groton, desserts from Sift Bakery, and great wine from Saltwater Farms Vineyard! Truly and epic day…10 out of 10!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
