TRAVELING THE PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
It is not prohibitive to drive a motorhome towing a tow car on California Highway Route 1 along the beautiful West Coast, but it is slow going. The upside is fantastic views around every corner, especially in Big Sur. The downside is steep grades and hairpin turns to deal with. Of course, I often used pull-offs on steep hills to let faster cars pass. And a stop at Morro Bay for a week, halfway up the coast, is a must. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or new to the RV lifestyle, our three books, “Living the Dream” for Full-Time RVers, On the Open Road, plus With and Without Family by James Urch of Lake George, NY, are invaluable resources.
