We’ve been pretty quiet lately but that’s because we’ve been finishing up the mechanical rebuilding of our practice organ at Assumption University. The mechanism is now fully rebuilt and playing. The pipework restoration is next, a process that includes cleaning, releathering, some small repairs, and new tuning slides on all the metal pipework. We’re also still waiting on the engraved console stop tabs and labels. The mechanisms built by Berkshire in the 70s were unreliable so we made various changes. We had to put everything together to test before restoring the pipework to make sure it all worked. A “before” picture is included at the end. Our changes are much needed improvements!
