This service is being rendered against the family’s wishes and support. All parties involved have been notified of this several days before the scheduled event.
Communities are always devastated and broken when they hear of the murder of one of it’s children. It’s important that such a loss can be mourned so that the healing process can begin. It is extremely important that during this time we aren’t hasty in forming judgments based on the little information provided. However, there should never be an instance where the communities needs supersedes the family’s needs❣️ It has been quite painful to sit back and watch how multiple public figures, reporters, funeral directors and clergy have disregarded and disrespected several of Lori’s family members concerning when and how Lori’s farewell should be handled. How can an “obituary” be written without consulting the family? Why should anyone dictate when and how you should “memorialize” your loved one?
On top of dealing with the agony of Lori’s remains being found, the family has been insulted by the pastor conducting this service by being told that “he doesn’t need their permission to give this service”. While this may be ethically correct we should be more concerned with what’s morally correct and emotionally sensitive, especially those who are spiritual leaders. In decency and in order is how God commands us to do things and this is neither.
Lori’s grandmother was accused by a public figure that she nor the family has done anything the whole time Lori has been missing! Just because the family has remained out of social media doesn’t mean they haven’t been doing anything!! It’s statements like this that show people’s true intentions. If you have to tell how many doors you’ve knocked on, how many flyers you passed out and how many hours you spent in helping search for Lori, and you’re not law enforcement, then it clearly shows that it wasn’t done from your heart.
For me this looks like a political stunt for all parties involved to help gain membership, votes, customers and followers. Just more adults exploiting Lori for their own personal agenda!! Hasn’t she suffered enough😡😡
