🎉 THE FIRST ANNUAL STITCHED SCRAPPY SHOWDOWN! 🎉

Stitched turns ONE on November 7 ❤️ (how is that even possible??)

To celebrate, we’re doing what we love to do: inviting our community to create with us using something special…

We’ve curated a very limited number of Stitched Scrappy Jelly Rolls — 42 hand-selected strips full of color, print, and possibility. Each roll is $40 and your purchase is your entry into our first-ever challenge:

🏆 STITCHED SCRAPPY SHOWDOWN 🏆

Take your jelly roll and show us what you see in it. Make a quilt (baby to full size), table topper, bag, or a coordinated set of smaller items — traditional, modern, scrappy, or totally unexpected.

Rules:

Must use the majority of your 42-strip Scrappy Jelly Roll.

You may add coordinating fabrics, background, borders, backing, binding, etc.

One jelly roll = one entry (single piece or coordinated set)

Bring your finished creation back to Stitched by 5 pm October 17. We’ll display all entries in the shop as part of our anniversary celebration.

Then the community votes — in-store and on social media — with the winner announced:

🎂 NOVEMBER 7 on STITCHED’S FIRST BIRTHDAY!

🏆 Prize: $50 Stitched gift certificate + a quilty prize basket from our favorite suppliers + a special commemorative gift + ultimate bragging rights as the first-ever Scrappy Showdown Champion. 😉

❤️ Every participant receives a small thank-you gift.

But don’t wait — we only made a limited number of Scrappy Jelly Rolls, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Grab yours, take those 42 strips home, and show us what you can create.

Ready. Set. SCRAP. ✂️🧵

We LOVE seeing what happens when Stitched fabric heads out into the world. 💛

Patty from Minnesota finished this beautiful Cranberry Chain quilt by Laundry Basket Quilts, using GeoBloom from AGF’s Sewcial Bee Collective — with both the pattern and fabric coming from right here at Stitched.

And if you love this fabric as much as we do, there’s more Sewcial Bee goodness waiting. Their newest collection, Summer Homestead, just arrived — full of that sweet, end-of-summer feeling and ready to become whatever you dream up next.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful finish with us, Patty! 🧵✨

That last sweet punch of summer. ☀️🐝🫐

Summer Homestead from Art Gallery Fabrics captures everything we love about this time of year — ripe berries, buzzing bees, tiny florals and all the loveliness of nature around us, rendered in the sweetest, most whimsical way.

It feels like late summer in fabric form…and it’s here at Stitched. 💛

Have you seen The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt yet? 🧡 It is one of those books that makes everyone smile, so we couldn’t resist creating a little companion kit to go with it.

Each kit is filled with beautifully curated Stitched precuts, so everything you need is bundled together to create the sweetest little ghost. Pair it with the book and our free ghost quilt pattern, and you’ve got the perfect Halloween project for a child, grandchild, niece, nephew — or honestly, anyone who still loves a good story and a little handmade magic. You can easily finish this cute quilt in the 85 days we have before Halloween!

Whether you’re reading together, decorating for Halloween, or creating a new family tradition, this tiny project is full of charm … and just the right amount of spooky. 🎃

Stop by Stitched to pick up the book and kit while they last. Get yourself set for the holiday and quilt it with some glow-in-the-dark thread! We can’t wait to see your little ghosts come to life!

👚 A custom blouse is in the works!

In our recent class led by Katie Kelso, students are learning the fundamentals of garment construction while creating a modern, boxy top they’ll actually want to wear.

Student Alina is hard at work bringing hers to life, and we can’t wait to see the finished piece.🧵

Twenty-five years ago, I moved to Racine for a job.

I stayed because of the community. 💙

Over the years, I’ve watched our downtown and this city grow into itself — embracing creativity, entrepreneurship, the arts, and all the things that make it special. From our beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline and North Beach to the Racine Zoo, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, incredible local businesses, and a thriving community of makers, there’s so much to love here.

Seeing Travel + Leisure name Racine the #1 Most Affordable Beach Town in America for 2026 made me smile. It feels like the rest of the country is starting to discover what many of us have known for years.

Opening Stitched was my own small way of believing in this community and helping Racine continue to thrive… I wanted to create a place where people gather, make beautiful things, and build community one stitch at a time.

Come visit. Explore our city. Make something while you’re here. I think you’ll fall in love with Racine, too. 💙🧵

Just 24 hours ago, our classroom looked like THIS. 🧵💛

Stitched had the incredible pleasure of hosting artist Amanda Browder (), Racine Art Museum (), and a wonderful group of citizen sewists as fabric, sewing machines, creativity — and a whole lot of community — took over the shop!

Together, we helped stitch pieces of Amanda’s large-scale public art installation that will soon transform part of Racine. Seeing yards and yards of fabric move from piles on our tables, through the hands of our sewists, and into something that will become public art was pretty darn special.

This is one of our favorite things about making: one person makes a piece. A whole bunch of people making together can make something extraordinary. ❤️

And yes — our day was even captured in watercolor!

We’re so proud Stitched got to be part of it — and we cannot WAIT to see Racine wearing all this color! 🌈🧵
