The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a firearm safety class on Wednesday October 25th 2023, to be instructed by BCSO firearm instructors. The course will be held at the Emergency Operations Center located in the Sheriff’s Office. The hours of the instruction will be from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.

This course is designed to promote safe and legal operation for those who choose to carry fi****ms. The instruction will be focused on the use of force laws, concealed weapon laws, safe and efficient weapon handling, and the legal and safe storage of fi****ms. This will be a classroom/training room session. Please come prepared with a pen and paper for notes.

This course is offered to Bradford County residents and there is no fee. The minimum age requirement to attend the training is 18 years of age. You must register in advance to attend the training. Email us at fi****[email protected] to register. Provide your name, a contact number, and your age to register for the training. The course will be limited to the first 24 people to register, but the course will be offered several times throughout the following months.

There will be empty and safe weapon handling included in this training. The Sheriff’s Office will provide all fi****ms or simulated fi****ms utilized in the training. Do NOT bring any fi****ms into the training building. There will be no live fire of ammunition during this training.
