Today was an exciting day for me and my future.  I purchased the first ever pre-configured out of the box ready to fly 4k FPV drone manufactured by DJI to follow my dream and vision of my side hustle, Mark Falkner Drone Productions! (ONLY a side hustle)  FPV stands for “first person view” where you wear virtual reality googles that show the drones video feed real time, so you feel like you’re in the cockpit of an airplane driving the drone in “first person.”  I’ve wanted to get deep into FPV for some time now, but it’s an extremely intense learning curve doing it the “old/real way” by purchasing the drone components and configuring all the drone operation components yourself through several open source configuration softwares + much much more  DJI has been a pioneer in drone manufacturing and is the leading drone provider worldwide.  This is a redefining moment in the drone community what DJI just did.  The technology is now getting much better very quickly, which eases the learning curve tremendously but right now it’s for a price.  In 3-4 years, the popularity of FPV drones will explode because the technology will get so good so fast, at an affordable price.  One thing is though, you can’t crash because you have to send it to DJI, not repair it yourself like the “old/real way.”

Alone time at the beach for two weeks to focus on my two jobs was so nice & refreshing. In regards to Mark Falkner Drone Productions, I spent a lot of time planning, evaluating, and strategizing my business vision to take it to the next level. 2020 was a year of building the business from the ground up, purchasing all the equipment/learning it, and learning from my mistakes. Reflecting on what I did, where I am now, and the vision moving forward has me fired up about year #2. 2021 is a year of mastering the software/hardware components of my equipment, networking to create more opportunities & partnerships, learning how to push my content to more people for opportunties, traveling the US to film, and lastly just having fun! Time to bring it!
