I found this early 20th century pastoral sheep oil painting at Brimfield, and I can’t believe it’s still available! I love the muted, moody tones, and the little lamb standing off to the side totally stole my heart. There is a line or a scratch in the trees as pictured, but that wouldn’t throw me off this stunning piece. 26 x 18 1/2 in. $595+ship.

I couldn’t resist the rich chocolate brown glaze on this early 20th century Eastern European hand-painted folk pottery bowl. The colorful floral and geometric decoration adds so much charm, and I think it would look beautiful layered into a shelf or displayed on a coffee table.

The interior shows visible scratching and wear consistent with age and use, as shown in photos.

I learned everything about pyrogenes except how to correctly pronounce the word. These match holders/strikers are so popular that they have been newer reproductions available for purchase for some time now. But I want to find the real thing when I’m in Paris later this month.

Likely antique hand-carved wood eagle and brass hook. I love the details on this colonial-style eagle and hook. The warm wood is gorgeous, and I am always impressed with all the details in hand-carved pieces like this. And while this piece is old, it’s not precious - you can still use it as a hook, or I thought it would be fun to hang a piece of Americana art from this hook. 5.75 in H x 4.5 in wide and $145+ship.

I have a pair of gorgeous turn of the 20th century iron floral lattice candle sconces that are sure to make your English cottage vibes come true. These are so feminine, which is what drew me to them - the latticework, the florals, the candle opening also resembling a flower…they are gorgeous and unlike anything I have seen. The iron is perfectly patina’ed and would look just as good in your house as it would outside on a covered porch. The diamond lattice backs is 9 in H x 6.5 in W and the depth is 8.25 in. $295+ship.

It’s in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, and I got it rewired + replaces the lamp parts so it’s ready for your little kid’s room, guest room, kitchen, or powder room. I was so excited to find this early 19th-century French zoological engraving of jellyfish in Brimfield in July. This was found framed in the prettiest pale blue with a slate blue mat and a darker metal carved frame. Light foxing (age spotting) to the paper. 10 3/4” × 7 1/2” and $245+ship.

This early 20th century green glazed European earthenware pot is the perfect piece to showcase your dried hydrangeas, and to add some warmth to any shelf or tabletop.

The best part about these older pieces is that the imperfections are what makes them so special - the drippy glaze, the chips to the opening - none of these details are accurately replicated in the new pieces of pottery that newer manufacturers are churning out.
