I’ve done this thousands of times and thought it was time to share!

Tip: this works best for bias binding or bias tape. If you cut an angle on a straight cut strips before sewing the seam there is a good chance you’ll stretch the seam and it will end up wonky.

Yup.

People always ask me “how do you get your binding not to fray?” and I wish I had some cool secret but it’s all the magic of cutting it on the bias.

BONUS: yes, it also eases around curves and edges beautifully.

ALSO: it is stronger wearing than straight grain binding. Did you know that?
