Ua noho ma Hilo, HI, aka aia i Raleigh nei i keia mau la. Hi there friends and artists! My name's Kapawa, and I'm a painter. I used to live in Hilo, HI. But these days you can find me here in Raleigh. I make original art inspired by my life and travels, literature, folklore, and of course, creatures that inhabit these places. My goal is to convey the character and energy of my subjects through expressive mixed media oil paintings using abstract realism. I have a number of artworks available and more to come. Finally got around to putting some finishing touches on this climbing moʻo painting. Absolutely loved playing up the love the colors from the tī.
