3. We convert the result to troy ounces.
4. We multiply the actual silver content by the current silver spot price.
5. We pay 60% - 70% of the calculated silver value.

A Quick Update About Our Precious Metal Testing Policy

Most gold and silver brought to On Spot Silver can be evaluated using our non-destructive testing equipment, including our Sigma Metalytics verifier, XRF analyzer, and density tester.

Occasionally, an item may require additional testing to confirm its composition throughout. This may involve filing, clipping, cutting, melting, or assaying part or all of the item. Because these methods permanently alter the item, we will explain the testing first and require the owner’s written authorization before proceeding.

Customers are never required to approve destructive testing. However, if we cannot confidently verify an item without it, we may be unable to make a purchase offer.

Our goal is to keep the process transparent, protect our customers, and make sure everyone understands what will happen before any item is altered.
