Before we jump into this week's new arrivals, we wanted to share a quick update to our showroom hours. Beginning this week, the gallery will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We will now be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Now for the fun part...

This week's new arrivals have been finding their places around the gallery, and several of our favorite pieces have come together in beautifully styled vignettes that greet you as soon as you walk through the door. There's something especially satisfying about seeing furniture that feels like it truly belongs together, making it easy to imagine the pieces in your own home.

The first vignette you'll see features a gorgeous Ethan Allen British Classics dining set paired with its matching sideboard. This set checks all the boxes—it includes two leaves, custom table pads stored in their convenient carrying bag, and is in fantastic condition throughout. We've styled it with a pair of Ethan Allen accent chairs at the heads of the table, and together they create a timeless dining space that's ready to enjoy.

Continue through the gallery and you'll find the perfect king-size bedroom suite by Harden. The bed and matching nightstands are paired with a beautiful set of paisley upholstered chairs and ottoman, while vibrant deep red Uttermost lamps and a heavily gilded still life painting tie everything together. The rich layers of color, texture, and classic design make this one of our favorite new additions to the gallery.

One of our favorite things about sourcing for the gallery is that no two weeks ever look the same. This week's new arrivals are a perfect example—whether your style leans antique, mid-century, or somewhere in between, there's something that just might surprise you.

One of the first pieces to catch your eye is a pair of incredible orange mid-century modern lounge chairs with matching ottomans. The vibrant leather paired with polished chrome bases adds such a fun burst of color to the gallery. We love our traditional wood furniture, but it's always exciting when something this bold comes through the door. They're even more striking in person.

At the other end of the style spectrum is a beautifully detailed round dining table featuring a carved acanthus leaf motif and pedestal base. With five leaves, it transforms from a cozy 54-inch round table into an impressive 119-inch oval—ready to accommodate everything from everyday dinners to holiday gatherings.

We're also excited to showcase a pair of brand new Hancock & Moore sofas. While we're accustomed to seeing the company's iconic tufted leather wingback chairs, these upholstered sofas were a welcome surprise. Wrapped in luxurious Thibaut performance fabric and finished with elegant brass-capped feet, they offer the exceptional craftsmanship Hancock & Moore is known for in a fresh, sophisticated design.

It's certainly been a rainy week here in the Triangle, but if you're looking for a peaceful way to spend an afternoon, we'd love to welcome you into the gallery. One of our favorite new arrivals this week is an original painting of a pointer hunting dog by a Women Artists of the West (WAOW) artist. Founded in 1970, Women Artists of the West is an organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the traditions of Western art while providing a supportive community for women working in the genre. Membership is by invitation or juried acceptance, making works by WAOW artists especially desirable among collectors of Western, wildlife, and sporting art. Discovering that connection during our research made this piece an even more exciting find, and we're thrilled to share it with you.

If you've been searching for a beautiful bed, now is a great time to keep an eye on our new arrivals. We brought in three poster beds just this past week, with several more waiting to make their way onto the showroom floor. Whether you're looking for a classic four-poster or another timeless bedroom piece, we expect to have an excellent selection in the coming weeks.

We've also welcomed several beautiful area rugs that offer a refreshing change of pace. With lighter color palettes and simpler motifs, they're a wonderful alternative to some of the darker or more intricate patterns we've featured in the past. They bring a fresh, versatile look that works beautifully in a variety of homes and styles.

Even with the summer heat and a steady stream of thunderstorms, we’ve been busy behind the scenes bringing in new treasures and refreshing the showroom with beautiful pieces week after week. Thanks to the incredible items that have been coming through our doors, we have another wonderful collection of featured finds to share with you — and there is even more waiting to be discovered throughout the gallery!

Our last Henkel Harris dining set was quickly scooped up, but don’t worry — we have another beautiful set ready to take its place. This one is a little more petite and offers incredible versatility, starting as a 42” round table and expanding to 78” long with three leaves. The chairs feature a charming bumblebee motif upholstered in a soft peach fabric that pairs beautifully with a variety of interiors.

We’re also excited to share a few stunning original oil paintings, including a peaceful misty mountain scene with sheep grazing, several striking chests, and a wonderful mix of timeless furniture and décor.

Last week we highlighted a strong collection of American-made furniture, and this week we’re continuing that theme with another great group of pieces from some of the country’s most respected makers.

Many of last week’s featured items have already found new homes, but we’ve brought in another standout selection to the gallery. This week you’ll find more beautiful pieces from Henkel Harris, along with designs from Baker and Hickory Chair, plus a few exceptional antiques. It’s a thoughtful mix of styles and periods, all grounded in quality craftsmanship and timeless design.

There’s something unmistakable about American-made furniture—you feel the difference as soon as you see it in person. Being here in North Carolina, we’re fortunate to have access to some of the finest American-made furniture out there. If you appreciate that level of detail and construction, this week’s collection is definitely worth a look.

And just a reminder—our Tax-Free 4th of July Sale is happening now! Everything in the gallery and online is tax free for a few more days—including all of this week’s featured pieces.

As we approach Independence Day, we're reflecting on something America has always done remarkably well: craftsmanship.

For generations, American furniture makers have built pieces designed not for a season, but for a lifetime. Among the finest examples is Henkel Harris, a company whose dedication to solid hardwood construction, hand-applied finishes, and timeless design has made their furniture sought after by collectors and homeowners alike.

Big news at Raleigh Furniture Gallery!

Over the past twenty-plus years, I have had the opportunity to hire and work alongside many talented people. Few have made the impact that Ellen Tolbert has.

Ellen joined Raleigh Furniture Gallery in 2020, fresh out of college and eager to learn. It didn't take long to see that she possessed the intelligence, work ethic, and dedication needed to help lead this business into the future. Over the past six years, she has grown into a trusted advisor, a leader within our team, and someone our staff and customers rely on every day.

For the past several years, Ellen has effectively served as my second-in-command, helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the store and ensuring that things run smoothly whenever I am away. Because of her outstanding contributions and proven leadership, I am excited to announce that Ellen Tolbert has been promoted to Gallery Manager of Raleigh Furniture Gallery.

For our customers, this transition should feel very natural. Ellen already plays a major role in the operation of the store, and her commitment to providing excellent customer service remains unchanged. I am confident she will continue finding ways to make your experience with Raleigh Furniture Gallery even better.

As for me, don't worry—I'm not going anywhere. I will remain actively involved with the business, while spending more of my time focused on long-term planning and strategic growth.

Please join me in congratulating Ellen on this well-deserved promotion. I couldn't be prouder of what she has accomplished, and I am excited to see her lead Raleigh Furniture Gallery into its next chapter.
