I know I said two-color quilts are easier to pull together... but y’all, I went back and forth on this palette SO many times. 😅
In the end I landed on Lava Rock and Creme de la Creme, both AGF Pure Solids. Not true black and white; more like charcoal and ivory, which feels so much more cozy and lived-in to me. The contrast is there, but nothing feels harsh. 👌
And the quilting! Double 60-degree rectangle lines, which gives it almost an argyle feel. I borrowed this idea from our Quilt Finishing Fellowship workbook and it ended up being exactly right for a pattern with this much symmetry and shape to it. ✨
Here is the full blog post with lots more details and photos! 🖤 https://www.loandbeholdstitchery.com/blogs/lo-and-behold/pansy-patch-quilt-pattern-the-lava-rock-version
PS, I was THIS close to making a totally different colorway. There’s a little sneak peek of other colorways in the blog post if you want to see what almost was! 🥹

Registration opens June 11th, so tap the calendar on this post to set a reminder and start gathering your scraps. We can’t wait to sew with you! 🤗
While we’re putting the finishing touches on everything, we’d love to know: What part of sewing with scraps feels most exciting to you, and what part feels the most overwhelming? Comment & let us know!

Tell me what you think! 👇

This is the “Patchwork” version of the Pansy Patch quilt pattern... and I almost omitted this color-way entirely because it felt like an outlier. But I kept coming back to it because it gave such a different look than anything else I’d designed, and lo and behold, I fell in love. 🌷

I wanted this one to feel like true spring which called for pinks + greens. I made sure to include a wide range of values, so deep greens and rich corals sit right next to the soft ones. It adds a little bit of sparkle and movement, which I love. 🥹
Want the full fabric list and details? It’s all on the blog. And if you want everything pulled and ready to go, kits are available too. Here’s the link: https://www.loandbeholdstitchery.com/blogs/lo-and-behold/pansy-patch-quilt-pattern-the-sprout-version ✨🌷

Happy birthday to the !🎂 I initially designed this pattern as a nod to the joy of traveling and taking “getaway” trips. With summer right around the corner, what getaways or staycations do you have planned? 🧳 Or what’s a favorite one that you’ve taken in the past? This is probably one of my favorites: Seward, Alaska. 🥹 ⛰️
Pattern is “Getaway” and it has 5 sizes, 3 layouts, block-based construction and can be found in the shop. Link in bio!
