For Carter & Mary Mattocks, we paired soft white blooms, cascading orchids, warm wood textures, and lush tropical greens to create a celebration that felt both refined and completely at home on the Carolina coast.

Working with a selection of seasonal flowers, Steve will guide guests through creating a modern, garden-inspired arrangement while sharing tips and techniques drawn from decades of floral design experience.

The latest floral installations at The Umstead Hotel and Spa have arrived. 🌿

This week’s designs pair vibrant peonies, hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, and sculptural tropical foliage with the warm wood tones and natural light found throughout the property.

One of our favorite parts of creating for The Umstead is designing arrangements that feel like they belong in the space—elevating the experience while letting the beauty of the surroundings shine.
