I'm retired now, so I don't repair mowers etc. anymore. The diabetes has claimed another victim. I can't see, or walk, or touch, due to the neuropathy.
Thanks for your support in the past, but this sad new chapter of my life leads me on. Good luck with you equipment needs, I know there are good mechanics to help you out there.

Boy what an end to 2014! First my Mother-in-law passed away, leaving an emptiness in my heart, then a bleak Thanksgiving with only the three of us attending, then the slow down of the business as the season ends. I am looking forward to starting winter servicing for my customers after the New Years festivities conclude.

Todays' Ethanol added fuels change chemically after 60 days. 85% of the work that the small engine business does is related to bad fuel. Ethanol absorbs humidity out of the air. this condenses in the bottom of the fuel as water and when left in the carburetor corrodes the carburetor. You see that in this picture.

Air filters do more than clean the air your engine breaths. Imagine wearing a mask all the time, and what happens when the mask is clogged with dust and dirt. You have to wear the mask anyway, but you can replace it. If you don't the power goes down, but if you remove it completely, all that dirt goes in.
