The One Book, One College Program is a collaborative effort at Chaffey College wherein faculty, students, staff, and administration select and read an agreed upon work of fiction or nonfiction during each academic year. Each semester, the One Book, One College Committee holds a series of free events related to the current One Book, One College, and many instructors incorporate the One Book, One Co

llege into their syllabi. Each December, faculty and staff nominate and then vote on candidates for the next year's One Book, One College title. The One Book, One College program encourages creativity, community, and interdisciplinary planning. It produces independent programs and events as well as programs and events in conjunction with Professional Development, Ethics Across the Curriculum, the Wignall Museum/Gallery, the Milliken Planetarium, local book stores, and many other interested partners.

Good afternoon, Panthers! This summer, the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art is presenting "(Dis)Comfort: A Virtual Project."

When we think of comfort and discomfort, we often think of polar-opposite feelings of ease and unease. We have experienced a myriad of life changes in the past year, including a global pandemic and cultural upheaval. For Chaffey students, the events of 2020 have led to artistic reflections on comfort, discomfort, instability, disruption, and isolation - the culmination of which is now on display for the whole community!

We've also invited guest artist and local community college educator Nicole Green Hodges to review the exhibition submissions. The artists selected to receive a cash prize for their exemplary interpretation of this summer's theme include Faith Antillon, Adriana Cervantes, Jennifer Escobar, V. Michelle Griffiths, Arleen Marroquin, and Danielle Giudici Wallis!

Thank you so much to everyone who has played a part in creating this online exhibition. You can access (Dis)Comfort: A Virtual Project" at this link: https://www.chaffey.edu/wignall/discomfort.php
