We've been a little affected by the flooding, but are okay and managed to make some soap earlier. A big thank you to Paxton's ERS and City Council for the help with laundry and the basement today! We really appreciate all you've done for the community and our family. We'll be back at the Gibson City Area Farmer's Market on Saturday, the 29th, and the Paxton Farmer's Market on Thursday the 27th (late start for Sun Willow--4:30). Please also keep the Smith family in your prayers. Elisha is organizing a drive at the library on Thursday, if you would like to donate. ❤️

Prayers for Paxton, Gibson City, and Rantoul. We hope you are doing well. Our family is safe from the storms, just tired from thunder and working in the flooded basement. If you've been affected, stay safe and keep your chin up. You are doing the best you can, and that is all anyone can ask! I noticed the Nazarene church in Paxton is open, if you need any support, and the town and County EMS are also available.

We're building a new soap line! Based on Great, Great Grandma Kelly's method of hot-process soapmaking with tallow, this soap has just a few clean, simple ingredients. Gentle PH balance of about 8 and currently in Mountain Meadow (pine with notes of lavender and cinnamon) and Secret Garden (sweet, floral with notes of rose geranium).

Also, we are prepping big for this week's back-to-school markets in Paxton and Gibson City! Stay tuned for more updates. ❤️

It's that time of year again, still summer but we're maybe getting a little tired, gearing up for back to school. Some memories came up when I was making this. Back at PBL, my friends in band would talk about being outside all day, doing camp before the start of school. And when the first day came, some of the poor kids were so pink from the sun! Nowadays, I think of squeezing in more sunshine in the garden, but I would still definitely chicken out of band camp. 🌞

Anyways, this turned out so thick, it wouldn't go in a bottle! We will see you at the Paxton and Gibson Farmer's Markets this week.

Introducing our Gardener's Collection!

We have a new line of lotion bars, soap, wax melts, and experimental candles.

New Scents:

-Ambrosia: Smells like honey nectar, said w**e of the Ancient Greek gods. Floral and Sweet. Lotion bars, $7.00, wax melts, $8.00

-Fangorn's Trail: Inspired by the Ents of Lord of the Rings. Smells of evergreen, vetiver, and a touch of lemongrass and mint Available in gardener's soap, beeswax candles, and wax melts.

New Soap ($7.00 for 3.5-4 oz bars):

Goat milk and tallow with a touch of local beeswax, rustic look. The gentle, unscented bars have powdered calendula petals. The scented gardener's soaps have finely ground luffa for extra exfoliation.

Endeavors:

-We are also trying our hand at candles made from pure beeswax and organic coconut oil, like our wax melts. We also will be making soy candles soon. 🙂 Beeswax can be tricky to work with, but clean and beautiful! The big 8 oz candles start to tunnel after 3-4 hours, so they are only $15.00 until we can get in some wooden wicks. Our smaller candles, in 4 oz tins, have 2 wicks and will be $10.00.

We are finally launching that long-overdue Spring Collection!!! Plus a limited-time free gift, no purchase necessary. To celebrate, we're spending Earth Day with our friends over at Cloud Mountain Kombucha, at 208 W Griggs Street in Urbana.

As a thank you for all of your support, there will be gardening kits with seeds and baby strawberry plants! For those of you in Paxton who can't make it out to Urbana, we are also putting some out under the Little Free Libraries around town. Can't wait to show you more pictures soon!!❤️
