🌲🍔 SQUATCH IS TAKING A LITTLE FAIR-SEASON BREAK! 🎡

We wanted to give everyone a heads-up that Squatch Burger Co. will be taking a break from the Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market, Inc for the next several weeks.

But don’t worry, we already have our return date:

🔥 SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH — THE SQUATCH IS BACK! 🔥

So where the heck are we going?

It’s officially FAIR SEASON, and our family also operates Philly express, our longtime family fair business serving up Philly cheesesteaks, curly fries and cheese curds.

🎡 North Idaho State Fair — August 21–30
📍 Coeur d’Alene

🎡 Spokane County Interstate Fair — September 11–20
📍 Spokane

The next several weeks involve a ridiculous amount of prep, hauling, setup, teardown and everything else that happens behind the scenes to make two major fairs happen. Our truck will also be working overtime hauling our large fair trailer and equipment, so trying to operate Squatch at the same time just isn’t practical.

And somewhere in the middle of all this, I still work 50+ hours every week at my regular job year-round. Squatch and fair season happen on top of that, so there are only so many hours we can squeeze out of a week before somebody needs to invent an eighth day. 😂

There’s also another important reason we’re giving ourselves some breathing room.

My wife is a huge part of everything we do with Squatch and helps me more than most people ever see. She’s been dealing with some pretty rough hip pain lately, so taking Squatch off the schedule for a few weeks gives her a chance to take it a little easier while we tackle an already crazy fair season. ❤️

Sometimes you just have to know when there are too many irons in the fire, and right now, between two fairs, Squatch, our regular jobs and family life, there are a LOT of irons.

But you can still come find us! 👀

Our family will be serving with Philly Express at BOTH the North Idaho State Fair AND the Spokane County Interstate Fair! Stop by for a Philly cheesesteak, curly fries or cheese curds and come say hi. 🎡🔥

Then, after the fairs are over and we’ve recovered from several weeks of controlled chaos…

We appreciate the hell out of everyone who has supported us this season. This summer has been an adventure, to put it mildly, and we’re definitely not finished yet.

WE’RE BACK!

The Squatch Mobile is officially back on the road!

First off… thank you to everyone who reached out, shared our last post, and supported us while we were unexpectedly down. It meant a lot to our family.

Also a huge shoutout to Ken from The Old is New Again for helping us out you have earned your free cheese curds for the foreseeable future 🤣😅

Turns out the problem wasn’t something minor. We had a catastrophic brake failure that required replacing the entire braking system. The photos below show just how bad it was. We’d rather miss a market than risk putting an unsafe truck on the road.

The good news?

The truck is fixed, tested, and ready to roll. 💪🍔

That means Squatch Burger Co. WILL be at the Rathdrum Craft & Farmers Market tomorrow!

⚠️ One thing to keep in mind:
The forecast is calling for very strong winds tomorrow. Safety always comes first, so if conditions become unsafe for our crew, customers, or equipment, we may have to close earlier than planned. We’ll keep everyone updated here if that happens.

We can’t wait to fire up the grill again and see everyone. Thanks again for sticking with us through the unexpected breakdown.

🚨 THE SQUATCH MOBILE IS DOWN 🚨

Well… the mighty Squatch truck has officially betrayed us. 🫠🔧

After suffering a total brake failure, our truck is officially out of commission and needs some serious repairs before it’s safe to get back on the road.

Unfortunately, that means Squatch Burger Co. will not be at the Rathdrum Craft & Farmers Market for at least the next couple of weeks.

We’re currently ordering the parts needed to get everything repaired, and as anyone who has dealt with vehicle repairs knows, getting the right parts delivered can sometimes be the biggest holdup.

We’re hoping to be back by August 1st, but we can’t make that promise just yet. It will all depend on when the parts arrive and how quickly we can get the Squatch Mobile safely back on the road.

We’re seriously bummed to miss you guys, but safety comes first. ❤️

Thank you for continuing to support our crazy little family business through all of it.

We’ll keep everyone updated, and as soon as the Squatch Mobile is ready… we’ll be back smashing burgers. 👣🌲🍔

🔥🌲 THE SMOKE MAY BE HERE… BUT SO IS THE SQUATCH. 🍔🦶

Tomorrow, Saturday, July 18, Squatch Burger Co. will be at the Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market, Inc and ready to sling burgers!

Apparently half the Northwest decided to cosplay as a giant campfire this week, but a little smoke isn’t enough to scare the Squatch back into the woods. 👀

🍔 SQUATCH BURGER CO. WILL BE OPEN AND SERVING TOMORROW!

Now for the slightly tragic news…

Our beloved Northwest Aebleskivers will NOT be at the market this weekend OR next weekend. 😭

Before anyone starts forming a search party, relax. The little Danish balls of happiness are safe and will make their glorious return the weekend after next.

So tomorrow:
✅ Burgers? HELL YES.
✅ Fries? YOU KNOW IT.
✅ Squatch sightings? HIGHLY PROBABLE.
❌ Aebleskivers? Currently hiding from civilization.
