Lots of activities at the shop this week beginning with storytime Thursday morning at 11:30a! 📚

That same evening is our Poetry Night at 6p! It is a laid back night of sharing your poems or simply listening to others. 🎙️

Saturday is our Books & Blooms After Dark! $50 gets you a $20 book credit, a fresh flower bouquet, snacks and shopping off hours with additional vendors as well. Come dressed in costume for added fun and a chance to win our trophy for Best Costume! 👻

Sunday is our last crochet workshop of the year! There might be a spot or two left and it is $30 which includes a take home kit! 🧶

We have a beautiful week for book shopping ahead! See you at the shop! 💛🧡

Here’s a reminder of some fun events coming up in the shop! But registration ahead of time is required.🧡💛

👻 First up is our first Books & Blooms After Dark event on Saturday, October 24th from 6-8p! Not only do you get a book credit from me, a bouquet from Pretty Wild Arrangements LLC & snacks, but shopping with & for fun stuff I don’t already have in the shop!
🧶 The very next day is our Beginner Crochet Workshop with from 1-3p! Learn basic skills or come for a refresh!
🎄 Our Mini Bookshelf Ornament class with J. Paris Designs is a great way to kick off holiday gift making for the bookish person in your life which includes you!😜 There are 2 times available: 6p and 7p on Friday, November 6th!
⛄️ Friday, November 20th, Hometown Pottery from more central Ohio will be here with a Pottery Painting Class from 5-8p! Choose your design when you register by November 5th, paint it on the 20th and it will be ready for pick up on December 4th!

I have another fun option for the community! Rent my bookstore to host your next small gathering such as a baby or bridal shower, retirement party or birthday party 🥳 🎉

This is something that had been swirling around in my brain for awhile, but I never made official. This summer, a Ravenna native contacted me on a whim to see if she could host her mom’s 80th birthday party here which was held last Sunday and was a great success!

One week ago as we were having dinner our last night in Minneapolis, I looked up and saw who I thought was Patti Callahan Henry - Patti Callahan , but of course, I didn’t trust myself 😃 Soon, I heard her voice and knew it was her since I listen to the Friends and Fiction podcast weekly! I finally got up the nerve to say hello and show her a picture of us together when I met her on tour for The Secret Book of Flora Lee and she couldn’t have been more gracious. I was excited to also meet William Kent Krueger as they were having dinner together while Patti was in town for the Heartland Fall Forum !!

Two great authors and one humbled bookseller all in Minneapolis having a photo op put the cherry on top of the conference for me!🧡💛 Many thanks to both!
