Freeze-dried candy is made by placing conventional candy into a vacuum chamber,
where it is frozen to temperatures around
140° F to 150 ° F and then subjected to a vacuum pump, causing the moisture inside to turn directly from solid ice into v***r (sublimation).
This process causes the candy to puff up, resulting in a light, crunchy, and intensely flavored treat.
