🌻 A LITTLE LOVE FOR MY FELLOW CREATORS… AND A GENTLE REMINDER. 🌻
There's something I've been thinking about lately, and I believe it's worth sharing.
As creators, we spend countless hours searching for supplies, sourcing materials, comparing prices, experimenting with products, and discovering those special pieces that inspire our next project. Sometimes the hunt itself takes just as much effort as the creating!
When we find something wonderful, it's because we've invested our own time, energy, and often our own money into finding it.
And while I absolutely LOVE sharing my creative process, offering tips and tricks, demonstrating techniques, and helping others learn how to create something beautiful, I also believe it's okay for creators to keep certain parts of their process private.
Sharing our knowledge is a gift. It isn't an obligation to share every resource, supplier, or shopping discovery we've worked to find. ❤️
Here at The Rustic Mustard Seed, I will continue to share what I know. When I go live, when I post a tutorial, and when I demonstrate a project, my goal is to inspire you, teach you something new, and encourage you to explore your own creativity.
I'll happily show you how I paint, share techniques I've learned, talk about products I use, and offer little tricks that might make your own creative journey easier.
But finding the pieces that inspire my work? That often involves a little research, a little patience, and a treasure hunt of my own. And there's nothing wrong with encouraging others to enjoy that adventure, too! 😉
A simple search can open the door to all sorts of possibilities. Sometimes the joy is in discovering something for yourself and making it your own.
This isn't about refusing to help anyone. It's about recognizing that creativity, knowledge, and kindness can be shared freely while still allowing room for personal boundaries.
Let's continue to encourage one another, celebrate one another's work, exchange ideas, and build each other up. There's room for all of us to create something wonderful without expecting anyone to hand over every resource they've discovered along the way.
