This might be a hot take but … what is the best ski width for PA skiers?? 🔥👀
We think it's somewhere in the mid-70mm to mid-80mm range.
Let’s be honest, powder days are few and far between in Pennsylvania. We’re mostly skiing hardpack, groomers, and icy conditions. But that doesn’t mean PA skiing can’t be equally as fun as anywhere else.
A ski that’s quick edge-to-edge for fast turns, holds a strong edge in firm snow, and stays stable on hardpack is exactly what many East Coast skiers are looking for. And that’s where a mid-70 to mid-80mm underfoot ski really shines.
Does that mean wider skis are off the table for PA? Definitely not. The best ski is the one that matches how and where YOU ski.
But if Pennsylvania is where you spend most of your season, a narrower ski is the perfect balance of quick turns, stability, and fun.
