The day was rainy but the light was pretty yesterday to capture this Christmas Glow quilt. The pattern is found in my Good & Plenty book and is made with my Hearth and Home fabric collection from Henry Glass that delivers in a couple weeks. When I designed this quilt, I was thinking I didn’t want any borders, but now I’m not so sure- maybe a skinny green inner and the red plaid outer🤷🏻‍♀️ What do you all think?

Finally put the binding on this cute panel quilt from my Love Bug fabric collection just in time for Fabric Friday! I used the binding stripe fabric from the collection(swipe to see) with a red faux piping. It’s a fun and easy way to add a bit of pizazz to your binding! Have you ever tried this type of binding? If not, here’s a quick how-to: Cut the binding strips 1.5” wide and the accent strips 1.75” wide. Stitch the same colored strips end to end. Then stitch the two colors together to make one big long strip set. Press the seam to the binding fabric. Press binding in half as usual to expose the faux piping. Stitch the binding to the back of the quilt and turn to the front-and the corners turn out beautifully as shown in the second photo! I had a lovely day yesterday, and received the cutest market tote from my granddaughter, made with her own hands (and feet!)! Planted a few flowers, visited with both of my sons, and like Frank, maybe even had a short cat nap! Hope you too had a lovely Mother’s Day!
